A Theoretical Study Of The Performance Of The Brake System Of A Highway Vehicle Using A Semi-Automatic System

1993-10-01
931620
This study shows the development of a procedure for obtaining the transfer function that optimizes the braking conditions for a road vehicle, placing them close to the ideal equilibrium for any road surface and for any permissible vehicle loading condition, using the measurements from a linear acceleration and a weight sensor. The transfer function may be used in the programming of a semi-automatic system for vehicle brake control.

Study Of The Dynamic Weight On The Axle And Wheels Of An Automobile Using The Static Equilibrium Or Center Of Gravity Range Of The Vehicle

1993-10-01
931648
The design and optimization of automobile systems are normally performed using one discrete position of the vehicle c.g. (centre of gravity). This work develops an alternative form for the above activities, using the “static equilibrium” or “centre of gravity envelope” technique, for the calculation of maximum dynamic weights that occur at he axles and in the wheels of an accelerating or decelerating automobile on any type of surface.
