Application of the reversible systems as power accumulators working media generator opens the words for creation of the economic integrated life support-energy-propulsion complexes for the manned stations. The system includes on electrolyser which decomposes water into oxygen and hydrogen under influence of the solar panel electric power. From an accumulator these gases are used to ensure the periodical operation of the correction thrusters, orientation systems, in the maximum power demand modes and for cosmonauts breathing. This work describes: design principles of such type systems for the “Alpha” Station; areas of the rational application of this complex together with the comparison of its technical characteristics with the traditional power systems; technical and operational characteristics of a small experimental apparatus with the similar system.
