Requirements for Conducting Audits of Aviation, Space, and Defense Quality Management Systems
IA9101
The 9101 standard defines requirements for the preparation and execution of the audit process. In addition, it defines the content and composition for the audit reporting of conformity and process effectiveness to the 9100 series standards, the organizations QMS documentation, customer and statutory requirements. The requirements are in addition to those found in ISO 17021-1
Rationale: Changes to align with the 9104 series standards, remove non value added activities and streamline the reporting process in response to feedback
Remove requirements for onsite auditing for stage 1, remove the requirement to leave a PEAR at the closing meeting when an NCR is written against the subject process, clarify the requirement to enter data into fields in the OASIS system, reduce the pre - audit OCAP submission ( 90 to 60 days) and reduce the time frame for agreement on containment (21 to 14 days)
