Rationale: OEM Original equipment manufacturers hot isostatic pressing (HIP) specifications are numerous and their pyrometry requirements are neither thorough nor consistent. It is intended that the HIP equipment manufacturers and processors will recognize this AMS specification as technically sound providing robust pyrometry requirements across the aerospace industry.
