The NV5600 Rear-Wheel-Drive Manual Transmission 962165
This paper describes the NV5600, a versatile, six-speed, 120mm center distance, rear-wheel-drive manual transmission which provides reliable performance for light and medium duty trucks. Targeted applications include large displacement gasoline (V8, V10, etc.) and high torque turbo diesel engines. The NV5600 is a robust product, providing high mileage design reliability. The transmission is readily adaptable to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) packaging requirements and is available in both 2WD and 4WD models. This new product offering is a 1998 model year production transmission program at New Venture Gear.
