Tickford Five Valve Per Cylinder Technology for Optimised Performance and Combustion 950815
A high tumble inlet charge motion has been incorporated in a patented 5 valve per cylinder combustion chamber. This combination has resulted in an engine particularly suitable for road going passenger cars which require a good performance, low fuel consumption and the ability to meet exhaust emission limits. The volumetric efficiency benefits of the 5 valve head have more than compensated for any reduction in airflow caused by the high tumble inlet ports and the rapid combustion provides stable running and a high tolerance to Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR).
