Largest CNG Fueling Station in North America 942408

The compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station for Capital Metropolitan Transit Authority (CMTA) in Austin, Texas is the largest capacity CNG bus fueling station in North America. Initial compressor capacity was 84 950 L (3 000 standard cubic feet)/minute with plans to add a second dryer and a third compressor to provide 127 426 L/minute (4 500 standard cubic feet)/minute of CNG fuel.
The CNG equipment and the engineering features designed into the CMTA station permits fast fueling indoors and indoor bus maintenance. The station can fill five buses simultaneously at rates up to 141 584 L (5 000 standard cubic feet)/minute/vehicle.
