On the Solution of Unsteady Heat Transfer Problems in ICE 931984

To further the knowledge of the unsteady heat transfer in reciprocating Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) it reveals of great interest to deepen the modeling of the thermal interactions between cylinder and piston in motion, to remove the hypothesis of the quasi-steady gas-to-wall heat transfer process and to improve the calculation of the stabilized periodical thermal state.
In this paper some observations on these aspects are presented and some procedures to perform deeper analyses are proposed.
