Development of the Electro-Magnetic Controlled Limited Slip Differential Unit (EMCD) 931023
This report introduces the mechanism, function and performance of the “Electro-Magnetic Controlled Limited Slip Differential” unit. This automotive differential has an electromagnetic control device for traction, which makes it possible to integrate with an ABS and/or a Traction Control System. In comparison with other Active Control Differential units, this unit has a compact design. It also has the advantage of application without any major vehicle modifications.
