This paper describes a training system approach suggested for supporting an operational fleet of trans-atmospheric vehicles. The training system design process begins with a structured crew information requirements analysis. Training system objectives are formulated. A preliminary set of candidate training requirements are identified. The components of the training system are identified and the contribution of each component to satisfying the requirements is explained.
