An Approach to Continuing Engineering Education in China 912623

The principal problems existing in current CEE have been analysed and the experimental activities in CEE conducted jointly by HUST, JUST and HAII together with SAW under the auspices of CSEC since May, 1988 introduced.
Systematic analysis and contrast from theoretical viewpoint have been made regarding the requirements of different nature of work and demand of post for engineers and theorists and thus the requirements of CEE for engineers deducted.
A series of considerable improvement made in the experiment concerning the methodology and content of teaching derived from the analysis and contrast has also been introduced.
Strong argument has been provided to indicate that both satisfactory teaching results in knowledge renewal and appreciable achievements in social and economical benefit have been gained.
