Definition of the Cut-Off in a Dipped Beam Pattern 910823

Aiming of dipped-beam headlamp is currently performed visually in Europe, using the cut-off line in the beam pattern. A good definition of a visual cut-off would allow uniformity in interpretations. This paper is a survey of studies on that question in Europe and the basis of proposition for such a definition at CIE level.
