Analysis Aided Design 910819

The purpose of this paper is to present the application of the finite element analysis, design sensitivity analysis, and optimization techniques at the system level to improve the design process and enhance the performance of various automotive systems.
A systematic approach for the design of more efficient systems is established. It reduces the time and effort needed in the design process as well as the number of tests required for product verification. The procedure has been applied to the chassis, instrument panel, and other automotive systems, as a result, improving their performance significantly.
