A Method to Estimate H2 in Engine Exhaust and Factors that Affect NOx and Particulate in Diesel Engine Exhaust 910732

This paper consists of two parts. The first part, the author develops a method to estimate the Hydrogen (H2) generated from the combustion of the fuel. The second part deals with the cause and effect of the existence of the pollutants NOx and particulate in the exhaust of a diesel engine. The concept of throttling in the injection nozzle is introduced to explain the results obtained in the combustion chamber of the diesel engine.
