Friction Materials for Wet Applications for the 1990's 890951

FRICTION MATERIALS FOR WET APPLICATIONS FOR 1990's
The objective of this paper is to show how different installation parameters can influence performance characteristics of friction materials. By carefully considering how each feature influences the performance capability it is possible to obtain the optimum performance of the friction material. The paper will review the effects of material content, groove patterns, mating surface finish and oil specifications which will provide some insight into the performance characteristics which can be influenced by these features.
