Multi-Layer Steel Gasket Technology for Engine Cylinder Head and Manifold Applications 890270
This paper presents information regarding new developments in gasket technology which has particular relevance to today's gasoline engine designers. The technology being described utilizes multiple layers of metal, coatings and configurations of embossments to provide an effective and durable seal intended primarily for cylinder head and manifold gaskets. The basic design principles, materials and configurations are described, along with a summary of the design's advantages for applications in today's' engines.
