Evaluation of Pressure and Crank Angle Errors from Reciprocating Engine Indicator Diagrams 860027
Some procedures for determining the pressure level and crank angle syncronization errors in piezoelectric sensor signals from reciprocating I.C. engines are analysed.
“The sensitivity to these errors of the experimental determination of I.H.E.P., of heat release and loss rates, emphasizes the importance of the subject under study.
It is shown that the crank angle error and pressure level error must be obtained independently. The conditions of applicability of the different possible methods are discussed. Experimental results are given, showing the reliability of the proposed methods under very unfavorable conditions.
