The Gear Dynamics and Gear Noise Research Laboratory is currently engaged in several research projects related to gear design and analysis. This paper discusses projects related to the analysis and prediction of spur and helical gear transmission errors, gear load distribution analysis gear tooth finite element analysis, force transmission through gearbox bearings, and acoustic intensity measurements from operating gearboxes.
