Alternative Fuels in Diesel Engines-A Review 810248

A wide range of fuels, from hydrogen to slurries, has been tested in diesel engines. This paper reviews test results and concludes that the diesel engine has an extraordinary capability to burn efficiently a wide range of fuel types. The problems of engine durability with such fuels now need to be addressed.
