An Assessment of Ride Quality of Heavy-Duty Trucks 801418

In this paper the linear dynamic response of the articulated vehicles to the road surface undulations which are represented as stationary Gaussian random excitations, is investigated. The power spectral density approach is used to estimate the influence of various parameters on the ride quality of such vehicles. In particular, the influence of load patterns, road characteristics, speed, and vehicle suspension systems on the ride quality is evaluated.
