A Knock Intensity Meter Based on Kinetic Criterion 780154

A new knock intensity meter, based on a criterion which correlates knock intensity and kinetic energy associated to knock-typical pressure oscillations, is described.
Operating principles, electronic chain, as well as the method that led to an instrument able of accurate measurements (both on laboratory engines and on automotive engines at high speed) are analysed.
