Discussed are: fastener significance, diameter/pitch recommendations, thread forms, thread gaging, bolt head design, materials, metric identification, nut design, small screws, rivets, clearance holes, pipe threads, inspection and quality assurance, availability and selection, and potential value of a planned, coordinated changeover to using metric standards.
