An Auxiliary Solid State Low Fuel Warning System 660044
A fundamental change in the fuel indicating system on General Motors 1965 model cars necessitated development of a nonmagnetic electronic switch for actuating the low-fuel-level warning light. This switch compares an internal reference voltage against the tank unit sender voltage, and lights a warning lamp when the fuel level drops to a predetermined point, usually about one-eighth tank. No alteration of the standard indicating system is necessary, and the unit mounts at any desired location in the instrument cluster.
