NEW FEATURES IN RECENT GENERAL MOTORS RADIATORS 650471

Advances in General Motors Radiator design over a ten year period are surveyed. Various changes affecting cooling performance have reduced radiator core volumes by as much as 50% and structural designs have been evolved to permit operation at higher internal pressures without proportionate increases in metal gages. A new cradle mounting configuration for certain types of installations and a new crossflow radiator system particularly advantageous on larger engines have been introduced.
