Development of 1D Simulation Model of Electric Fuel Pump for Flex-Fuel Application 2016-36-0135
Selection criteria of fuel pumps is mainly based on hydraulic performance and consumption level of electric current under a given operational pressure and voltage. This paper presents the development process of 1D simulation model of fuel pump for flex-fuel application built on Amesim®. This functional model integrates data from computational fluid dynamics and electric simulation software and it aims to assist selection and specification of proper pump components to fulfill application requirement stablishing a better first-time product capability. Results show a good correlation with real prototypes.
