A Performance, Combustion and Emission Study on HCCI Engine: Trends and Innovations 2016-28-0013

In global scenario day-to-day utilization of energy for mobility in sea, land, air and space in all respect it keeps on increasing. The consequence of energy conversion during combustion positively produce required power also gives adverse effect of emission. All the countries are following stringent energy strategies and emission norms. To facilitate the reduction of engine emission, many engine researchers focused on conventional CI and SI engines. Some of them tried with fuel modification and some of them approached engine modification. Researchers crossed the fuel phases, not only liquid state also attempted with the gaseous fuels and fuel cells. In perception of environmental issues like pollution prevention and control, many green and eco-friendly cleaner technologies have been invented. Aligning with this trend addressing the climate change, global warming, greenhouse effect and air pollution, this research paper details the trends and innovations in Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition Engine (HCCI) in the perception of performance, combustion and emission. This technical paper details the engine input parameters and its responses in microscopic level; in macroscopic level the engine technologies and advancements are also presented. Even increase in 0.1 % fuel efficiency will reduce dependability on imported crude oil with connected economic susceptibility and invigorate the country’s GDP. In this perception this technical paper has been preceded.
