Experimental Modal Identification of Vibro-Acoustic Cavities with Calibrated Acoustic Source 2012-36-0619
The present work show experimental modal identification of an acoustic cavity with a calibrated source. Outside of a rigid cavity, the acoustic source is delivered by a speaker connected to a flexible duct with one microphone at the end. This experimental apparatus allows identifying the acoustic excitation inside the rigid box. With another microphone inside the cavity, it's possible to obtain FRFs measurements and make acoustic modal identification of the rigid box. The experimental data are compared with numerical results and analytical solution.
