New Generation of Hydro-Pneumatic Suspension Systems with Adaptive Damping 2012-36-0016

Higher demands on driving safety and comfort of vehicles of all types require that the machine manufacturers and development partners respond to these needs via a new form of partnership based cooperation. As development partner, WEBER-HYDRAULIK GmbH contributes its entire system competence to the implementation of hydraulic systems.
Just a few months ago, the market launch of a new generation of vehicles for plant protection (Challenger - RoGator 600 Series) took place. Apart from other highlights (four wheel steering, track-width adjustment) the sprayers were equipped with a revolutionary suspension system developed in cooperation with WEBER-HYDRAULIK Group. Some of the special features of the solution are:
  • independent wheel suspension,
  • working height, level and slope control
  • adaptive damping characteristics for highest comfort
  • anti-roll and pitch avoidance system.
The article will present the suspension system, its function and first results of the field tests.
