Development of Electric Active Stabilizer Suspension System 2006-01-1537

The electric active stabilizer suspension system, which can reduce roll angle, has been developed.
This paper presents the configuration, function and effect of the system.
The electric active stabilizer suspension system performs not only decreasing roll angle but good fuel consumption. The rotary actuator of this system consists of the DC brushless motor and strain wave gearing.
It has been confirmed that the system achieved target roll angle and contributed to improve fuel consumption compare to hydraulic system.
