CAE Integration in the fast changing Automotive Development Process 2003-01-2731

CAE techniques are essential to support the design process for automotive body design. Central component for the design is an integrated FEM process. This Process has to take into account all the functional requirements for the real body design. The objective of this paper is to show different approaches from the point of view of an independent supplier, to integrate CAE into the overall automotive development process and show some latest trends in FE methods.
