A Support System for Development of Sporty Sound and its Application 2003-01-1400

A new method is developed for decomposing an interior noise during acceleration into components caused by intake orifice noise and exhaust noise, and residual noise, and calculating an intake orifice noise that achieves a sporty interior sound target. Also an accomplished new system enables to estimate sporty sound and define a target sound for an interior and an orifice noise. And this system is applied to development of a new medium-size sporty coupe.
