A Brief Survey on Squeak & Rattle Evaluation Techniques at General Motors do Brasil 2002-01-3489

This paper describes the activities in the area of Squeak & Rattle developed by GM do Brasil at Cruz Alta Proving Ground (CAPG) in the last years. It presents the experimental methods employed to evaluate and eliminate Squeak & Rattle during the development of new vehicles. Emphasis is given to new techniques in the effort made by General Motors worldwide to move from “road to lab”.
