Advanced MEA Technology for Mobile PEMFC Applications 2002-01-0407
PEMFC systems are gaining increased importance as clean and efficient energy sources for electric vehicles. Research and development at OMG dmc2 division is focused on catalyst systems for the growing PEMFC market, particularly on Membrane Electrode Assemblies (MEAs) for PEMFC stacks [1, 2, 3 and 4]. The paper describes the current technology for MEAs operating on hydrogen as well as on CO containing reformate gases. Characteristics and technical features of the MEA products are described with emphasis on steady state and transient testing procedures.
