Diesel Engine Exhaust Gas Monitoring and Performance 2000-01-3276

The diesel engine gaseous emissions components are measured by the environmental agencies in order to control air quality.
A engine dynamometer test was performed in a diesel engine, measuring several emissions levels and performance characteristics in several values of power and speed (loads), comparing the results and establishing the correlation between them. The procedures, test, apparatus, operational measurements are described as well as the general test observations and calculations. Several diesel engine faults are introduced and their influence in the test results are established
The conclusions and recommendations are also described, presenting that diesel engines emissions monitoring can also improve their performance results and diagnose some faults.
