Selecting the Proper Fuel Flow Meter for Engine Testing

1993-03-01
930396
Fuel flow measurement for engine testing requires proper equipment, system integration and application. These factors are most important when low flow rate and transient measurements are involved. A servo controlled positive displacement flow meter is found to be the most suitable solution under these conditions.

Ultra-Low Flow Cart for Engine Analysis

1994-03-01
940491
This paper will present the different methods of measuring fuel flow at extremely low fuel flows in engines. It will outline the technical problems to be solved and offer some available solutions. A stand-alone cart for ultra-low flow will be introduced. Test results will prove the flow range and the accuracy achievable.

Reducing Costs and Downtime in Fuel Systems Calibration

1994-03-01
940490
This paper will present different calibration methods for fuel systems. The pros and cons of each method will be analyzed as follows: Reproducibility/ Accuracy Speed Safety Ease of handling A computerized calibration cart will be introduced as an optimal solution. It will demonstrate that time reduction by more than 50% can be achieved and that more reliable data (i.e. standard deviation) is obtainable.
