By controlling equipment performance and improving equipment uptime, TPM has a direct influence on corporate financial performance. TPM starts with the operator understanding the equipment objectives and capabilities, learning the equipment performance requirements and establishing an on going system of improved uptime, controlled costs and equipment maintenance.
