Vehicle Cyber Engineering (VCE) Test Bed with Cyber Security Labs as a Service (CLaaS) The University of Detroit Mercy Vehicle Cyber Engineering (VCE) Laboratory supports research and course projects for Secure Vehicle Embedded Systems. The VCE Lab has established several Test Beds to cover experimental techniques to ensure the security of an embedded design including: data isolation, memory protection, virtual memory, secure scheduling, access control and capabilities, hypervisors and system virtualization, I/O virtualization, embedded cryptography implementation, Authentication and Access Control, Hacking Techniques, Malware, Trusted Computing, Intrusion Detecting Systems, Cryptography, Programming Security and Secure Software/Firmware updates. The VCE Test Beds have been connected with an AWS cloud based “Cyber-Security Labs as a Service “ (CLaaS) system which allows students and researcher to access the test beds from anyplace that they have a secure internet connection.
