The Automotive Supplier Industry is heading toward a two tier structure. The tiers will consist of System Integrators, Low Cost Producers, Full Service Competency Related and Full Service Capability Related Companies. Conglomerates will form similar to a Japanese Keiretsu. The other tier will be comprised of smaller entrepreneur specialty shops. Companies in both tiers will find it necessary to position themselves as a Multinational, International or Global company in order to survive.
