Selection and Design of Electrohydraulic Valves for Electronically-Controlled Automotive Suspension Systems

The advent of electronically-controlled automotive suspension systems on vehicles manufactured in the Far East, Europe, and North America has created a global need for electrohydraulic valves with unique operating characteristics. The technical specifications for these valves differ significantly from those used in typical fluid power applications. This paper deals with some of the most important criteria to be considered during the selection and design of automotive suspension control valves.
