2021-04-06
2021-01-0702
Gear rattle noise is one of the important characteristics of manual and dual-clutch transmission,it is generated by the impact of unloaded meshing gear pairs in the transmission due to engine torsional vibration. Based on a front-drive manual transmission and a five dynos drivetrain NVH test bench with high-speed sine wave generator function, this paper designs an experimental program suitable for transmission rattle noise. By driving dynamometer to simulate the torque fluctuation of real engine, the main research is to study the characteristics of the transmission rattle noise under different excitation amplitudes and different excitation frequencies, and the sensitivity of rattle noise under different gears, different oil temperatures, different excitation amplitudes and excitation frequencies is analyzed. Finally, the transmission maps of rattle noise in different gears can be obtained.

This paper proposes a new type of permanent magnet motor stator system equivalent model considering insulation materials and modal analysis is performed. First, the analytic method is used to estimate the modal natural frequency of the stator core and the stator winding system respectively, and the influence of the winding on the system modal is analyzed. Then, a new type of winding equivalent model was established using the finite element method (FEM), two traditional models were established at the same time. Compared with the traditional model, the new winding equivalent model considers the influence of insulating materials, so the calculation results are more accurate. At the same time, due to the innovative modeling of the new winding equivalent model, the Young’s modulus of the winding equivalent material is increased, which effectively reduces the appearance of useless local modes and improves the calculation efficiency.

A vehicle’s NVH performance has a significant impact on the user experience of the driver and passengers. About one-third of the vehicle complaints are related to NVH performance. As the core component of the vehicle, the drivetrain’s NVH characteristics have a significant impact on vehicle comfort. How to reliably and stably reproduce the specific condition of the whole vehicle through the test method, and obtain the highly consistent objective data for analyzing and improving the NVH characteristics of the drivetrain is of great significance in engineering. For this purpose, China Automotive Technology Research Center Co., Ltd. (CATARC) designed and built a new type drivetrain NVH test facility, which consists of five dynamometers, and can carry horizontal/vertical, front/rear drive or four-wheel drive structures including powertrain, transmission, and rear axle, or even a whole vehicle.

As one of the key technologies for EVs and HEVs, the design of their motors has been researched extensively, and some novel rotors of permanent magnet motor were proposed in order to improve torque capability, including average torque and torque ripple. Rotor structure selection of drive motor for various electric vehicles has been one of the key issues in matching of electric vehicle power system. Three motors are analyzed for providing visible insights to the contribution of different rotor structures to the torque characteristics, efficiency and extended speed range. First, an iterative comparative analysis of torque-speed characteristics with different flux linkage, d-axis inductance and rotor saliency ratio is performed for demonstrating the design principle. Then, the three motors are optimized by a genetic algorithm (GA) for further improving the torque characteristics.
