In order to improve the electric vehicle endurance mileage and output characteristics of motor, the optimization of inverter loss and motor current ripple reduction are considered. Aiming at high inverter loss of traditional SVPWM and high current ripple of DPWM, an adjustable discontinuous pulse width modulation(ADPWM) is proposed, whose clamping angle α and clamping phase angle θ are variable. In order to accurately calculate the inverter loss, a switching instantaneous inverter loss model is proposed, and the ADPWM inverter loss and current total harmonic distortion(THD) was studied based on Simulink modeling and simulation. The simulation and experiment results show that the experiment can be accurately reflected by Simulink model; The inverter loss can be reduced by 15%-25% by introducing ADPWM while the current distortion rate is low. With the clamping angle α increasing, the inverter loss decreased significantly.

The influence of heat flow and cooling water characteristics on motor temperature cannot be accurately reflected by the traditional motor temperature analysis method. In order to study the motor and its key components’ temperature characteristics under different temperatures and flow rates of cooling water, this paper establishes the lumped parameter transient thermal model which includes cooling water module, based on a 50kW permanent magnet synchronous motor. The transient and steady temperature is calculated through this model together with the motor loss calculation module in the electric drive system model. The influence of different temperature and flow rate of cooling water on motor and its key components’ temperature characteristics is compared. During the modeling process, the motor body is divided into 14 parts, based on the internal heat flow path of the motor. The thermal resistance of each key component and cooling water is calculated.

Soft-Switching Inverter Loss Calculation Method Considering Instantaneous Current

Currently, it is generally considered that all the electronic components produce a loss at the same time in one PWM carrier cycle in the analysis of soft-switching inverter loss. But in practice due to the effect of PWM and phase current state and IGBT switching state of inverter bridges, the losses of inverter electronic components are not produced simultaneously, and the loss values of components are different. According to the soft-switching inverter working principle, soft-switching inverter is divided into PWM inverter voltage control circuit and resonant control circuit, and aiming at different working characteristics of the two parts, a soft-switching inverter loss calculation method considering instantaneous current state is proposed.

Oil pump is a critical part of engine lubrication system. The performance and efficiency of oil pump are greatly affected by vibration and noise, which would lead to the pump service life decreasing and pump body easily wearing. Hence the vibration and noise of oil pump is of great importance to study. In this paper, a FEA model of the variable displacement oil pump(VDOP) was established to carry on the modal and noise analysis, while the geometric structure was optimized with test verification. The modal analysis of VDOP was carried out by ABAQUS software, the 3-D unsteady flow field in VDOP was simulated by Pumplinx software, and the sound field was analyzed by ACTRAN acoustic module. Using a special oil pump test bench combined with B&K PULSE vibration and noise test equipment, the NVH and comprehensive performance experiment of the VDOP were carried out here.
