Secured Hybridization Algorithms of Critical Sensors Applied to Inertial Reference System for Civil Air Transport

By developing TopFlight ADIRU (Air Data Inertial Reference Unit) for civil aircraft avionics, THALES is establishing a new standard to comply with most demanding RNP-AR navigation procedures. Indeed, this new generation of inertial reference product goes a step further in the management of positioning integrity, continuity and availability, to simplify crew operations in demanding conditions. This is done through dedicated GPS/inertial hybridization algorithms, and their extensions to supplemental failure detection and exclusion.
