Meanwhile model-based development found its way into practical software development processes and code generation. But especially in the automotive industry for the majority of use cases it is used for algorithm generation and verification for large and medium size devices. In fewer cases the code is directly reused, especially not for small size platforms. In this a paper a software development process and its efficiency gain for automotive sensors and other small size embedded platforms is presented. There model based development is applied for small embedded -partly safety critical -systems with full model reuse and automatic code generation.
