Operating Mode and Simulation Study for an Electromagnetic Coupling Hybrid Electric Vehicle

2013-04-08
2013-01-1482
Based on the concept of dynamic servo, an electromagnetic coupling hybrid electric vehicle is developed. The system structure, working principle and control strategy of the vehicle are analyzed respectively. The simulation model of the vehicle is built using Matlab/Simulink software, and the output torque of ICE, EM and DRM is simulated in UDDS driving cycle. The simulation and test results show that the output torque can meet the requirements of driving cycle, and the efficiency of EM is always in high efficiency area.

Control Strategy Research of Engine Smart Start/Stop System for a Micro Car

2013-04-08
2013-01-0585
This paper investigates the control strategy of engine smart start/stop system, and develops the simulation model of the micro car equipped with smart start/stop system in Matlab/Simulink environment. The schematic and the starting process dynamics of the engine smart start/stop system are analyzed. The simulation results of the fuel economy between the baseline vehicle and the vehicle after installation of smart start/stop system are discussed using Matlab and ADVISOR software co-simulation in the NEDC driving cycle. Finally the test of engine start and the emissions test of the micro car equipped with smart start/stop system are conducted using standard chassis dynamometer. The results indicate that the engine of the micro car can be automatically shut off as it meets the conditions of engine automatic stop.

A Study of Parameter Matching and Experiment of Powertrain for an Extended-Range Electric Vehicle

2012-10-22
2012-01-2221
This study takes an E-REV as example, and carries out the parameters matching analysis and related experimental study of powertrain, which includes the electric propulsion system, the electric energy storage system, the fuel-powered electric generator and the control modes of battery pack. Using the co-simulation of Matlab/Simulink and Advisor, the power performance of the E-REV was simulated in the NEDC driving cycle. The simulation and test results show that the definite scheme of powertrain can meet the primary performance requirements of E-REV.
